The conservation pool elevation is 337.5 feet above mean sea level. Fluctuation is about 2-3 feet annually. The water authority is Titus County Fresh Water Supply District.

Lake Cypress Springs is located on Cypress Creek in the Cypress River Basin 15 miles northwest of Pittsburg in Franklin County between Mount Vernon, Winnsboro, Pittsburg and Mount Pleasant.
